This helps in developing reader's interest, says Goyal. The Punjab State Electricity Board has announced a cash award of Rs. 10,000 to engineer Jagvir Goyal for his outstanding work in Civil Engineering. At the age of 36, Mr. Goyal has written two technical books on specialized subjects, 'Slip forming' and 'Expeditious Construction of RCC Chimneys'.

The Punjab State Electricity Board has appreciated the services of its engineer, Mr Jagvir Goyal and has awarded him with a prize of Rs 10,000 and a commendation letter for outstanding work in the field of civil engineering. At a relatively young age of 36, Mr Jagvir Goyal has already written two highly technical and voluminous books on advanced subjects like "Slip forming" and Expeditious construction of tall RCC Chimneys".

Jagvir Goyal, a 1978 alumnus of Thappar Institute of Engineering and Technology was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award for the year 2005 during the 19th convocation of the Institute held on campus here today.

City based engineer Jagvir Goyal, a 1978 alumnus of the Thappar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award for the year 2005.

Mr Jagvir Goyal, working at the Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant, Lehra Mohabbat, has come out with a totally new and unique concept called card books. Mr Goyal has already written eight such books for different categories of people. The categories covered are students, engineers, corporate managers, stock investors, housewives, IAS aspirants, businessmen and doctors.
