- Do the brickwork in English bond or Flemish bond. Flemish bond can be used as it gives better appearance but generally, English bond is preferred as it gives better progress. Masons too are proficient in English bond only. Which ever bond is chosen should be followed through out the construction of the building. If the bricks have frogs (clay fly ash bricks don’t have a frog), lay them with frog upwards.
