1 Frames that carry one set of shutters for doors, windows and ventilators are noted as D, W, V on the drawings. Those carrying two sets of shutters are noted as DD, WW and VV on drawings. If a frame has to carry a double leaf shutter, it is noted as DT. Use these designations given in the drawings to list out the numbers of frames and later the number of shutters and joinery fittings to be provided in your house. 2 The joints between the top horizontal member of frame and the two side verticals are called dovetail joints.
